This year we undertook the second year of the Lead Creative Schools programme at Builth Wells High School. The children have worked very hard over the last twelve weeks and have focused specifically on developing their persistence, imagination and self control.
They have had the opportunity to work with Miss Angharad Howe, their classroom teacher, and the Creative Agents Blue Macaskill and Alex Allpress. They have had the chance to to design their own board games, have a go on a pottery wheel and have been designing their own story pots. They have been very proud of their progress and were able to hold an exhibition for the rest of the children and staff to come and see what they have observed.
We have been selected to be visited by the Director of Child Participation and Executive of Children’s Creativity from the Arts Council of Wales where they will have the opportunity to explain their journeys on lead create and showcase their work.
Well done to everyone involved!
