BWHS, RSPCA Animal Welfare - The Great Debate, Regional Heat Winners!

Huge congratulations to the Builth Wells High School KS3 Debate Team who won the South Wales Heat at the RSPCA Great Debate 2018!

The schools debated, Breed Specific Legislation, Penalties for Animal Abuse, Non Stunned Slaughter and Wild Animals in Circuses.  Builth's winning debate was an emotive and informative discussion on Hunting with Dogs.

The competition took place on Friday 23rd March. The team - Elenid Rees, Annie Cromie, Freya Evans, Tilly Davies and Tomos Jones were accompanied to Merthyr Tydfil Council Chambers by Mrs. Edwards and Mr. Marrs, Having won this heat, they have been invited to attend the Final at The National Assembly for Wales in Cardiff in June, where they will compete against all other regions.
