Congratulations to Elin Bolland who has worked with Jess and Mike at Malt Barn Recordings recording three of her compositions.
The first is 'Forevermore', which she wrote 18 months ago but has changed. The second is 'Doll' which is based on the character of Annabelle, an anorexic, in 'Twelve' (a TV series that she, her sister and friends filmed a pilot of this summer). The third is 'Mark's Song' which may also be used in the pilot. She wanted a more rock sound so asked Jess to sing it and to play bass.
Well done Elin.
Here is the poem that Cameron wrote in the Caban Sgriblio workshop last week. Watch out for more work soon.
The hill is a lone green ribbon
blowing in the wind.
The wind, the wind that blows you down.
The hills are a city skyline
The changes, the changes that shape
The hills are a long winding path
that goes on for eternity.
The eternity that goes to
the end of time.
The hills are the view from the backseat
of the car, the feeling,
the desperation to get out.

Builth Played an away fixture at Crickhowell high school on Wednesday 20th September.
Netball result - Builth year 9 'A' team played an amazing game with the team annihilating the other team with a 30-6 point win. The girls displayed real talent throughout the game. The picture was taken at the end of the match and as you can see there are rosy cheeks and messy hair and that was just Mrs Williams.
Hockey result - Year 11 girls won 1 -0 , A very skilful match with both sides showing great teamwork. Builth had a great opportunity to develop their passing and communicating skills, resulting in a fantastic Goal by Rhian Farmer, which was set up brilliantly in Builths half. The team have a strong and ambitious attitude to the game, and hope that this strong performance carries on!! Great effort.
Year 8 won 4-1 after being held at 1-1 for a long period of the game by Llandrindod. An early goal inside a minute by Ciaran Price put them ahead but it was not until late in the game that Bradley Price, Archie Lloyd and Ceri Jones scored after impressive wing play by George Lloyd.
On Wednesday 27th September our senior hockey players accredited themselves very well at the County Hockey:

Inter-regional MTB championships
Iwan Evans has again been busy competing, representing Wales at the Inter regional MTB championships. Overall Team Wales finished 7th but the standard was very high so this was a very good result.
