A message from the Headteacher

Sadly I have to inform you that following the tragic fire in Llangammarch Wells, that one of our pupils is unaccounted for. Two of our pupils escaped and survived the fire and have since returned to school.

The tragedy has shaken our school and as a school community, we are supporting our pupils and carrying on the best way we can.

The school has been supported by our School Community Police Officers, the Powys Education Psychology Service, our School Nurse, Challenge Advisors, Governors, Cruse and the Powys Communications Team. They offered help and guidance and will be there for us in the weeks and months ahead.

Your child may well be upset and you may find two guides: “Listen, Protect and Connect” and “After the event” helpful. Both documents can be downloaded from the website and are available at school, by request. Please do not hesitate in contacting us if you need any further specialist advice or support.

We are deeply saddened by this event and, on your behalf, I extend our condolences to all of the family.
